Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious graduate to participate the development of a rural and island transport planning, innovation and analytics tool. The tool will be transformational. It will be used to identify and make the case for a range of exciting transport innovations and projects - such as new models of passenger transport and vehicle sharing, alternative fuel vehicles, vessels and aircraft, autonomous vehicles, and Mobility as a Service - that Hitrans will seek to deploy in the Scottish Highlands and islands to improve transport services.

This position is a 24 month full-time fixed-term contract, with a £4,000 training budget tailored towards your personal development. For exceptional candidates, the post could be offered on a 36 or 48 month part-time basis.

You will require a degree or Masters degree in a relevant subject: For example, Geography, Business Management/Administration; Transport Planning/ engineering; Rural economics/ planning / development; Innovation planning/ management; Electric/energy engineering; Data analytics.
