HITRANS, the regional transport partnership for the Highlands and Islands, has moved its head office in Inverness.  It has relocated to upper floor accommodation at Inverness Town House, 1 High Street, Inverness IV1 1JJ.

The organisation, which has 11 staff, had been based for the past 10 years on the second floor of 7 Ardross Terrace, Inverness, IV3 5NQ.The telephone number – 01463 719002-  remains the same as does the email address:  info@hitrans.org.uk

Meanwhile, the Partnership is currently advertising to fill a vacancy on its Board for a non-councillor member.

The deadline for applications is 8 January, 2024.  The board, which meets 4 times each year,  comprises 5 councillor representatives and 3 non-councillor members.

HITRANS is one of seven statutory Regional Transport Partnerships established under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 to take a regional approach to transport planning and delivery, working across the administrative areas of Argyll and Bute (excluding Helensburgh and Lomond) Eilean Siar, Highland, Moray and Orkney Islands councils.
