Scotland’s first autonomous shuttle was trialled between October 2022 – May 2023 at Inverness Campus, operated by Stagecoach. The pilot ran between Monday-Saturday between 10am-4.20pm, and was free to use.

The route took passengers between Inverness Campus and the Inverness Retail & Business Park, with the journey taking approximately 10 minutes.

The pilot was part-funded by Interreg North Sea Region Planning for Autonomous Vehicles (PAV) project. The pilot was a partnership between HITRANS, NAVYA, Stagecoach, Inverness Campus, UHI Inverness, and The Highland Council.
