Moove Flexi is a booking app for on demand public transport in the Highlands and Islands. It is free for use for any operator who wishes to join the service.
Demand Responsive Transport System designed to improve the operation, booking and marketing of on demand PT services in the Highlands & Islands. Contract awarded to Liftango Dec 21, recently extended until Dec 27. The idea is it to seek further extension after this time.
Moray Councils m.connect service also runs off the same system as Moove Flexi with the support of Liftango.
Funding was secured from a variety of sources:
- Transport Scotland’s MaaS Investment Fund Rd 2
- Scottish Governments Islands Team
- Smarter Choices Smarter Places
- 2 European Projects: MOVE and G-PaTRA
The System
The Moove Flexi System is made up of three main sections:
User App: The Moove Flexi App allows users to book and manage their journeys.
Operations Portal: Operators use this platform to make bookings and manage service.
Driver Tablet: Drivers have tablet mounted in the vehicle to receive bookings

2. Scoping meeting with Liftango and establish service requirements/current model of operation.
3. Configuration and setup:
- Map and service zone
- Fare structures
- Service schedules
- Create FAQs document for website
4. Training sessions for operators to understand the system and get hands on experience with the support of the team at Liftango.
