Regional Transport Strategy
HITRANS first Regional Transport Strategy was approved by Scottish Ministers in July 2008. A refresh was undertaken in 2018. A full update of the Regional Transport was approved by the HITRANS partnership board in November 2024. Subject to Ministerial approval, it is anticipated that this will be formally adopted in early 2025. A full update of the Regional Transport Strategy is nearing conclusion. Copies of the final draft of the Regional Transport Strategy submitted to Ministers in November 2025, together with supported documents and impact assessments can be found below.
